On Saturday, Carmen Cernjul took silver in the women's 1,500 meters in the European Championship in athletics U20 in Tampere, Finland. She followed it up on Sunday by taking silver also on 3,000 meters. It feels completely incredible, says the 18-year-old to SVT.

Cernjul ran at a time of 9.08,87.

It was a late evening yesterday, so I came here today with zero expectations and just wanted to go out and drive and fight for the medals, and I really did. I'm so, so happy about the two medals, I couldn't wish for more this weekend. It feels completely incredible and hard to take in, actually, says Cernjul.

Innes Fitzgerald, Great Britain, won overwhelmingly at a time of 8.46,39, which meant a new championship record.

Norwegian Wilma Bekkemoen Torbiörnsson took the bronze with a time of 9.10,70.

Sweden has now taken five medals at the European Championship under U20: Cernjul's two silvers, Karl Ottfalk's silver and bronze in the 5,000 meters and 3,000 meters, respectively, and Axel Rogö's gold in pole vault.
