Anaheim defeated Winnipeg 4–1 and won its seventh consecutive game.
Leo Carlsson scored the 2–0 goal and made it 4–1.
In 15 games at the start of the NHL season, he has scored 10 goals and 15 assists and shares second place in the scoring league with Connor Bedard, Chicago.
Colorado star Nathan MacKinnon leads the scoring league with 29 points (14+15).
Leo Carlsson was drafted second overall behind Bedard in the 2023 NHL Draft.
The super talent from Karlstad, who had his SHL breakthrough in Örebro, is playing his third season in the NHL.
"We talked about it before the season that we young players need to take a step. It's time," Carlsson told nhl.com.
Things are going fast for Leo Carlsson now. He was part of Tre Kronor's team in the Four Nations last season and got to play one of three matches.
With his current form, he aspires to a role as the first center in the Olympic team.
Anaheim has also, thanks to Carlsson and other young players – 19-year-old Beckett Sennecke also became a two-goal scorer – risen from a team at the bottom to second in the Western Conference behind Colorado.
