Carlos Alcaraz wins Tokyo title after seven-month wait for a tournament victory

Carlos Alcaraz is back in action after a wrist injury. The world number three won the ATP tournament in Tokyo, defeating Czech player Jiří Lehečka in the final.

For the first time since February, Carlos Alcaraz has won a tennis tournament.

The Spaniard won the final in straight sets (7–6, 6–4).

This means Alcaraz is firmly back on track after being sidelined for four months earlier this year with a wrist injury.

Alcaraz, who won the Australian Open earlier this year, last played a final against Jannik Sinner in Monte Carlo in April, but lost.
