Carlos Alcaraz Advances to French Championships Quarterfinals

The match was a war of attrition that the reigning master of the French Championships, Carlos Alcaraz, won over Ben Shelton, USA, in the fourth round.

The Spaniard won with 7–6 (10–8), 6–3, 4–6, 6–4 after over three hours of play with brilliant serving and heavy strokes on the clay at Roland Garros.

Alcaraz will meet another American in next week's quarterfinals – Tommy Paul.
