The cargo ship Eternity C, which was shot at on Monday in the Red Sea, has sunk, according to sources at Reuters.
Several crew members are reported to be in the water and at least five of them are said to have been rescued.
Eternity C was heading north towards the Suez Canal when it was shot at by people in small boats and with bomb-carrying drones, according to the EU's marine operation that combats pirates in the region.
On Monday, the EU operation Aspides stated to the news agency AP that three people have died after the attack.
