An investigation into the two deaths in February at the Kebnekaise mountain station shows that the individuals inhaled carbon monoxide.

This was a contributing factor to the deaths, the police write on their website. Two lifeless men in their 60s were found in a tent and a police helicopter and mountain rescuers were called in.

There is no suspicion of crime, the police write.
