A car has become stuck on a railway track in central Falun and was subsequently hit by a train. The person driving the car managed to get out of the vehicle before the collision.
According to the police, the driver had become stuck due to ice that had built up next to the rail. The train driver was able to see the car from a distance and managed to brake before the collision with the car.
It seems to have turned out okay anyway, the person had gotten out of the car and is okay but in shock, says Evelina Åström, the police's press spokesperson.
The accident occurred at a crossing at Sturegatan in central Falun.
