The alarm was raised at around 5:20 p.m. on Thursday afternoon after a car had driven off the road near Lake Lersjön. It took around four hours to get the car, which was stuck in the dam gates, out of the water.
Police confirmed on Friday night that the driver of the car, a man in his 90s, died in the accident. Next of kin have been notified.
