A woman has died since a car collided with a train at a train crossing north of Lindberg in Varberg municipality on Thursday afternoon, reports Hallands Nyheter.
The car has ended up in the ditch. The rescue service and ambulance were the first to arrive and were able to pick out a person from the car, said the police's press spokesperson Adam Isaksson Samara earlier to TT.
Train traffic on the route was stopped due to the incident.
The train was on its way to Borås with about fifty passengers, according to the newspaper.
The incident is being investigated as negligence in traffic. No one is suspected in the matter.
