The two people in the car were taken to hospital by ambulance.
According to the initial information, they were not life-threateningly injured, says the police's press spokesperson Fredrik Svedemyr.
The alarm about the accident came at 14.30 on Saturday.
Later in the afternoon, Södra Älvsborg's hospital announced that the two, a man in his 80s and a woman in her 75s, have moderate injuries. The situation is stable for them, reports local media.
The police have filed a report on reckless driving and the car has been seized for examination.
