Canada's men's curling team drew attention after their regular-season match against Sweden, when a brawl broke out amid allegations of cheating. The brawl received widespread attention on social media, not just in curling circles.

That drama didn't stop Canada from reaching the final or winning Olympic gold.

Great Britain had a weak performance in the ninth end, where Canada took three points and led 8–6 before the final end.

In the tenth end, Canada scored another point and secured the gold, 9–6.
