The Irish rap trio Kneecap is subject to an entry ban to Canada, announces Canadian politician Vince Gasparro who believes that the group advocates for political violence and antisemitism, writes Pitchfork.

In a video on social media, Gasparro accuses the trio of advocating for political violence and refers to the indictment for terrorist crimes that member Mo Chara, who is actually named Liam O'Hanna, is charged with. This after having waved a Hezbollah flag and expressed support for Hamas at a gig in London last year – a crime he denies.

Kneecap – who have four scheduled gigs in Canada in October – call Gasparro's accusations false and state that they will take legal action.

"When we win in court, which we will do, we will donate every krona to help the children in Gaza", the group says in a statement.

In August, the trio announced that they are cancelling their planned US tour due to the trial against Mo Chara.
