One goal was enough. Switzerland knocked out Finland, the bronze medalists at the last Olympics, in the quarterfinals, 1-0.
Finland had difficulty getting past Switzerland's goalkeeper Andrea Brändli, who made 40 saves.
Switzerland now faces Canada in the semifinals; Canada defeated Germany earlier on Saturday.
With an early goal after just under two minutes, the Canadians - who are also big favorites for gold - took command of the match, winning 5-1.
Sweden has already advanced to the semifinals, where they will face the USA.
