The measures have included keeping the school locked and having school guards on site. According to the municipality, this has led to increased control over who is on the premises and enhanced security, and it is now proposed that they become permanent, the municipality writes on its website.
"It is our responsibility to ensure that security is not only restored, but also strengthened over time," says Christopher Hedbom Rydaeus, chairman of the Upper Secondary Education and Labour Market Committee, in a comment.
A formal decision on permanent measures will be made by the Upper Secondary Education and Labour Market Committee in May.
