After a few minutes of trading, the broad OMXS index is up 0.4 percent. Among the winners on the large-cap OMXS30 list is mining company Boliden, up 3 percent. Engineering companies are generally doing well, with Epiroc, Sandvik and SKF up 1–2 percent.
Last night, the tech-heavy Nasdaq in the US fell after Nvidia lost around 5 percent following its quarterly report on Wednesday evening. Ahead of the opening on Wall Street later today, futures indicate further declines.
Yesterday, the Stockholm Stock Exchange rose by half a percent.
During overnight Asian trading, Tokyo was up slightly while Hong Kong was up a little more.
Oil prices have fluctuated a bit depending on signals from talks between Iran and the US. This morning, a barrel of North Sea oil costs just over $71.
