There has been a storm surrounding Anders Byström. After considerable dissatisfaction in the national ski team, where several skiers had also called for his resignation, the Swedish Ski Association announced that Byström is resigning.

In an interview with Örnsköldsviks Allehanda, Byström now roars back against anonymous criticism from within the team that has been directed at him, mainly over team selections.

"I was disappointed that some skiers went behind my back. I want respect and then you get stabbed in the back," he says, continuing:

"They are supposed to provide criticism and feedback, but the way they did it was low."

Byström was national team manager for six years.
