The election manifesto with 112 promises was presented in Vasaparken in Stockholm.
Among the election promises to families are a gradual extension of parental leave by another six months, an increase in child benefit to SEK 2,000, and a child bonus that is deposited into mothers' premium pension accounts upon the birth of a child. This would provide an additional SEK 700 per month in pension for a mother of two, according to the party.
KD also says no to quota-based parental insurance.
Most important question
Another priority area in the manifesto is welfare.
The most important promise is that the state will have responsibility for healthcare and that the 21 regions will be dismantled. According to the party, this would provide more equal healthcare across the country.
Anyone who wants KD's support to form a government - and we will also be in the government we support - must meet us on our most important issue of having a cohesive responsibility for healthcare, says the KD leader.
Letting the state take over healthcare was also a promise before the 2022 election.
Most of the election promises in this year's election manifesto have been presented earlier in the election campaign. Among the new proposals is that assistance decisions for the elderly, such as home care, will be followed if the elderly person moves to another municipality.
Busch says that there are elderly people who are currently afraid of losing their home care services if they move.
This means that some people almost end up in municipal detention, she says.
Shingles vaccine
Another KD promise to the elderly is a national vaccination program that applies regardless of which region you live in.
We want to see a vaccination program where all older people receive free vaccination against influenza, Covid-19, pneumococcal disease, but also against shingles from the age of 65 and against RSV from the age of 75, says Minister of Social Affairs Jakob Forssmed (KD).
KD also wants to lower pharmaceutical costs for people with small financial margins through a differentiation of high-cost coverage.
The idea is not that anyone should get a higher bill, but we want to lower it for those with the lowest incomes, says Forssmed.
Busch still believes that the Tidö parties can turn the tide of opinion, even though the red-greens have a clear lead in opinion polls.
She is critical of the red-greens talking as if the election were already over, according to her.
There is something deeply unsympathetic, almost disrespectful, in starting to distribute the spoils and ministerial posts when the voters have barely even begun to take a stand, says Busch.
