Four passengers and a driver were on board at the time of the accident. The bus driver, a man in his 50s, was trapped but awake after the accident, the rescue service told Sydsvenskan.
He was taken to hospital by ambulance. According to Region Skåne (regional health authority), a man in his 50s suffered minor injuries in the accident.
The alarm came just before noon on Tuesday. In the afternoon, police announced that the driver is suspected of drug-impaired driving, drug offences, causing bodily harm and traffic negligence.
There are no reports of any passengers being seriously injured in the accident.
The bus that collided with the tree was a city bus, and the road was closed during the rescue operation.
