Several people have died and many are injured since a bus crashed into vehicles waiting at a toll station in northern Philippines, according to the police.
The information about how many died differs at present. According to the news agency AFP, it is ten people, twelve. Several of them are children. About 40 are injured.
The incident, which occurred in Tarlac north of Manila, appears to have been an accident.
The driver has told our investigators that he fell asleep, says police chief Romel Santos.
Many of the dead are said to have been in the same vehicle.
The bus driver and another person have been arrested, suspected of gross negligence leading to another's death.
