The police were alerted at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday that several loose horses were running on the E22 outside Hörby.
The driver of the bus that collided with one of the horses was trapped, but was taken to hospital after an hour. According to Region Skåne, the man, aged 75, has suffered minor injuries.
Shortly after the alarm was received, the police announced that they had contacted the owner of the horses and that they had been captured. The horse that collided with the bus is dead.
The road remains closed.
"There is a major traffic impact," says police spokesperson Evelina Olsson.
None of the bus's four passengers were physically injured in the accident.
