A Moldovan border guard was reportedly injured when a bullet ricocheted during a Russian attack on Ukrainian infrastructure on Monday morning.
The Palanka-Majaky-Udobne border crossing has been closed until further notice, and travelers are advised to avoid the area, The Kyiv Independent reports.
This morning's Russian attack was primarily aimed at industrial and port infrastructure in the nearby Ukrainian region of Odesa, Governor Oleh Kiper said on Telegram.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, a fuel depot and a cargo ship allegedly assisting the Ukrainian military were attacked. Another Ukrainian ship is also said to have been attacked.
