There has been an attempted burglary at a home in Esplugues de Llobregat on the outskirts of Barcelona, a spokesman for the Catalan police told AFP.
The police do not confirm who owns the house, but the Spanish newspaper La Vanguardia says the house belongs to the 19-year-old Spanish national team player.
Two people wearing masks are said to have climbed over the wall of the house, but were stopped by private security guards and fled the scene, the newspaper writes.
The incident occurred early Wednesday morning, just hours after Spain defeated France 2-0 in the World Cup semi-final.
