The competition will be held at Arena Burgas, with semi-finals on May 11 and 13 and the final on May 15. It will be the first time Eurovision has been held in Bulgaria, after Dara won Eurovision 2026 in Vienna with "Banagaranga".
Burgas was selected after a process in which four cities were reviewed based on, among other things, the venue, technology, accommodation, transport and international connections. Sofia, Plovdiv and Varna, which competed to host the event, will also take part in the side events.
"This is not about a city hosting Eurovision. It is Bulgaria hosting Eurovision - a whole community, united and inspired," said Burgas Mayor Dimitar Nikolov in the press release.
