The Swedish team captain accounted for two assists as Buffalo secured a quarterfinal spot in game six against Boston.
The first came just over three minutes into the first period when he played the puck forward to Alex Tuch, who tapped it in for a 1–0 lead.
The second came, fittingly enough, in the final stages of the match when Dahlin poked the puck out of a scramble to Josh Norris, who from the blue line scored into an empty net for the final 4–1.
In the quarterfinals, either Montreal or Tampa Bay awaits; they will play game seven in their round of 16 on Monday night.
Round of 16:
Boston–Buffalo 1–4 (Buffalo won the series 4–2)
Montreal–Tampa Bay 0–1 after overtime (3–3 in games)
Utah–Vegas in progress (2–3)
