Buffalo reached its longest winning streak ever when it notched its tenth straight victory in last night's game against Dallas.

The current NHL season has been one of extremes for Buffalo. The team started by winning just five of the season's first 17 games.

Now things are going even better. In the away game against Dallas on New Year's Eve local time, they won 4–1 - the team's tenth straight win. It's the team's longest winning streak ever. Noah Östlund had two assists in the game.

Three times before, Buffalo has gone ten straight games without a loss, the last time being in November 2018, but if they win at home against Columbus on January 3, the team will set a new club record.

The record for the longest winning streak ever in the NHL is held by Pittsburgh, which won 17 straight games in September - October 1993.
