Newcomer Brynäs has signed a short-term agreement with defenseman Viktor Persson, 22, following yet another defense injury ahead of the SHL premiere.
New acquisition Charles-Édouard D’Astous got injured in the dress rehearsal against Modo and it is now clear that he will be out for two to five weeks, writes Brynäs on their website.
As previously known, homecoming defenseman star Christian Djoos is missing due to injury. He is expected to return in early or mid-October.
Therefore, Brynäs has signed a short-term agreement that applies for seven weeks with Viktor Persson, who has been on trial with the club during the preseason.
Persson, who played for Brynäs as a junior, has most recently represented Finnish Pelicans.
Brynäs will face Linköping away in Saturday's premiere in SHL.
