The SM finalist was hit by an acute goalkeeper crisis when it was clear last month that Erik Källgren had been operated on for an injury and will be out for about six months.

Suddenly, last season's successful newcomer was without a goalkeeper.

Now the crisis has been mitigated.

Delia comes from Edmonton's organization and has signed a one-year contract with Brynäs.

The American has played a total of 52 NHL matches for Chicago and Vancouver during his career, but the last two seasons exclusively in the farm league AHL. Last season, he played 28 matches in Bakersfield.

"I and my family are incredibly happy to get this opportunity to represent a club as rich in tradition as Brynäs. I look forward to the season and I want to contribute to us going all the way and winning the SM gold", says Delia.

Brynäs is still looking for another goalkeeper.
