After eleven seasons in North American ice hockey, defenseman Robert Hägg is heading back to Sweden.
He has signed a one-year contract with Brynäs.
"It feels really good to come to Brynäs. I have been in the USA for many years and felt that it was a good time to head back to Sweden", says Hägg to Brynäs website.
The 30-year-old played some seasons in Modo (1.5 seasons for the elite series/SHL team) before leaving for play in North America in 2014. He has played for a number of clubs in the NHL – Philadelphia, Buffalo, Florida, Detroit, Anaheim and most recently Vegas.
"Robert has really been a priority for us this silly season", says sports manager Johan Alcén.
