Luleå has won seven Swedish Championship gold medals and played in one final in the last nine completed seasons.

The last time the team reached the semifinals was in 2017.

"We always want to win, it's so fucking sad to lose," says Luleå coach Melinda Olsson in the YouTube broadcast.

Brynäs pulled away in the second period when the team went from 1–0 to 3–0 after goals by Elin Svensson and national team forward Hanna Thuvik.

Brynäs is ready for its first final series since 2023 and will try to end the finals curse. In seven final attempts, it has resulted in seven silver medals.

"I think we played an incredibly good match. Now we're going to take home the first gold," says Thuvik.

In the second semifinal series, SDE won over last year's champion Frölunda 3–1 and reduced the series to 1–2.
