"This is something that has grown on me over time. I feel that four years feels like enough and that it is a good time for someone else to take over," Gällstedt tells Brynäs' website.
Gällstedt was a coach for the junior team at the Gävle club between 2010 and 2015. He returned as head coach of the SHL team in 2023 and helped bring the team up from HockeyAllsvenskan and lead it to the Swedish Championship final in its first year.
