The Brazil star is leaving Newcastle and, according to media reports, Arsenal will pay the equivalent of SEK 960 million for the midfielder. The contract runs until 2030, with an option for another year.
"The decision to leave was very tough because Newcastle means a lot to me, but I wanted to try something different in my career," the 28-year-old said in a press release.
Bruno Guimarães was the team captain at Newcastle and during the summer he played in the World Cup with Brazil.
