"I'm a little link in a big chain. I'm the guy who came by and kind of picked up the flag. That's how it works. You can run with it for a while, and then pass it on to the next guy," Bruce Springsteen said, according to The New York Times.
The center also houses Frank Sinatra's tuxedo, John Coltrane's saxophone and hundreds of other items, more than half of which come from artists other than Bruce Springsteen, whose archive will be housed here.
"When my own relevance fades, I'll be happy with a little glass cabinet with the bulk of what I did now, and to be surrounded by a bunch of other incredible musicians," Springsteen says.
