It was in Friday's match at Gamla Ullevi that the incident occurred. After a close fight with Tolf, Hansen went to the ground and became very irritated. From the ground, he put both soles of his feet into his opponent's stomach and was sent off by referee Adam Ladebäck.
The incident was further investigated and on Tuesday the Swedish Football Association's disciplinary committee issued a verdict. In addition to the automatic one-match suspension, he will be suspended for two more matches, and will therefore miss the matches against Hammarby, Malmö and Sirius.
IFK Gothenburg won the match 2–1.
