Only six minutes into the first period, Philip Broberg received a pass from Robert Thomas in the slot in front of the goal – and slammed in a slapshot that gave St Louis a 1–0 lead.
Later, he also made an assist when St Louis, to the delight of the home crowd, scored all four goals in the second period. The win means that the score is now 3–3 in the series, which is best of seven, and that the next match will therefore decide which team will advance in the Stanley Cup playoffs.
