The defenseman Philip Broberg became a two-goal scorer when his St Louis defeated Washington with 5–2 in tonight's NHL.
He's an elite skater, says teammate Dylan Holloway about the Swede's speed on the ice.
Philip Broberg gave St Louis the lead in the first period with a direct shot from the right face-off circle. His second goal, which gave St Louis a 2–1 lead, was even more stylish as he, at high speed, deked past Washington's goalie and put the puck in the goal with a backhand.
Broberg has now scored five points, three goals and two assists, in the last five games.
I think "Broby" has played fantastically lately, says teammate Holloway.
It was nice to see him score a couple of goals tonight and see him utilize his speed.
