The Tokyo indices are having a great week. After a huge jump on Tuesday, both the Nikkei 225 and Topix continue to rise. By midday on Wednesday, the indices had increased by 1.6 and 0.9 percent respectively, reaching new record highs.
The Chinese stock markets are also doing well. Shanghai had risen 1.2 percent by midday, while Shenzhen was up 2.0 percent.
The Hang Seng in Hong Kong rose 0.8 percent, while the Kospi in South Korea was unchanged.
