British Graham Phillips and Frenchman Adrien Bocquet have been placed on a sanctions list of people considered to be carrying out Russian hybrid attacks.
Blogger Phillips, who has worked for the state-controlled Russian television channel RT, is accused, like former soldier Bocquet, of spreading Russian disinformation and propaganda through interviews and articles from the war zone.
At the same time, sanctions have also been imposed on nine additional people in connection with the massacre of Ukrainians in Bucha in February and March 2022. One of the nine is Colonel General Aleksandr Chayko, who was Russia's highest military commander on the ground in Ukraine at the time.
