British unemployment rises to 5.2 percent in late 2025, near its highest level in five years

Unemployment rose to 5.2 percent. According to a Bloomberg report, analysts had, on average, expected unemployment to reach 5.1 percent.

At the same time, wage growth fell back to 3.4 percent, its lowest level in over five years.
