USA has established a "civil-military coordination center" (CMCC) in Israel. British soldiers are participating in the operation.

The center is to, according to the US military command in the region, Centcom, "support stabilizing efforts" such as facilitating logistics, security and the influx of emergency aid, as well as monitoring the development in Gaza.

Some soldiers will not be sent into Gaza, according to Centcom.

According to the British Ministry of Defence, "a small number" of British soldiers are embedded in CMCC.

We can contribute to the work of monitoring the ceasefire, says Britain's Defence Minister John Healey according to AFP.

The center is located in the southwestern part of the country and was formally inaugurated by the US Vice President JD Vance on Tuesday.
