British television company ITV is about to sell its television and streaming operations to competitor Sky for 1.6 billion pounds, equivalent to 20 billion Swedish kronor.
Preliminary negotiations have begun, according to ITV, which on Thursday announced a savings package of 35 million pounds in connection with the expected decline in advertising revenue in the fourth quarter. Sky is in turn owned by the American Comcast.
