British fintech company Allica Bank wants to enter the Swedish banking market. The company has applied for a Swedish banking licence from the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority, reports the Financial Times.
Sweden will thus become the first market in an international expansion in which the company aims to establish itself in the Netherlands and Ireland, among other places.
The company was founded in 2019 and primarily offers banking services and loans to companies.
