Ahead of the broader EPC (European Political Community) summit, Starmer met with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Yerevan on Sunday.
“When the UK and the EU work together, everyone benefits,” Starmer explained after the meeting. “That is why we are starting negotiations with the EU to ensure that Ukraine gets the equipment it needs to defend its freedom, and to create opportunities for British industry to participate fully.”
The EU recently agreed to start disbursing the loan. It amounts to 90 billion euros, almost one trillion kronor.
