The permanent median barrier will be set up during the repair work that has been ongoing on the bridge since the accident, reports Nacka Värmdö Posten.
The repair work has been delayed and is expected to be completed at the end of October, the newspaper writes with reference to the bus company Nobina, which operates the bus lines on Värmdö.
It was at the end of August that a bus and a car collided head-on on Farstabron in Värmdö municipality outside Stockholm. Two people were killed and loud voices were raised to make the bridge safer.
I think it is unacceptable that the only fast connection from Värmdö to the mainland is so dangerous that it continues to claim lives, said the chairman of the municipal board Carl Kangas (S) to SvD after the accident.
