Devendra Fadnavis, state governor of Maharashtra, writes on the platform X that six people are being treated in hospital with serious injuries. He also writes that an intense rescue effort is underway.
According to the news agency Press Trust of India, four people have died and 18 people were seriously injured in the accident.
