The preliminary investigation against four doctors at Karolinska University Hospital in Region Stockholm is being discontinued, reports Dagens Nyheter. The four were suspected of bribery and disloyalty towards the principal.
The doctors have, through their own company, sold IT services to the hospital for approximately 50 million kronor since 2013. At the same time, one of the doctors has been Karolinska's reference on invoices to the company.
The prosecutor's decision means that the preliminary investigation, which began in August last year, is being discontinued in all parts, reports DN. The prosecutor has not found that any bribery has been committed, nor has it been proven that disloyalty towards the principal has occurred.
