After the Italian businessman and club owner Massimo Cellino failed to pay a debt of around 33 million kronor.

The 68-year-old had until last Friday to pay off part of the tax debt the club had incurred. But since no money was paid in, the club was excluded from the Italian league system.

Brescia played last season in the Italian second division Serie B. Well-known players who have represented the club include, among others, Roberto Baggio, Andrea Pirlo, and Pep Guardiola.

The Swedish former IFK Göteborg defender Alexander Jallow, with merits from the Swedish U21 national team, has been part of the club since 2022 and will now have to look for a new club address.
