Somewhat bizarre scenes unfolded after Jacy gave Coritiba the lead against Chapecoense in the Brazilian top flight.
Jacy was so happy that he rushed behind the goal and jumped over an advertising sign to celebrate with the fans.
But on the other side there is a tunnel that leads to the changing room. The 29-year-old disappeared there before carefully climbing back up.
"I hurt my foot there, it's a little swollen but I'm okay. Centre-backs rarely score goals so when I did I got too excited," he says, according to the BBC.
To make matters worse, the goal was ruled out after a VAR review.
Coritiba won the match 2–1.
