Brage relegated from Superettan as Örebro face qualifiers again

The men's Superettan season ended in dramatic fashion. After the final round, it was clear that Brage would be relegated and Örebro would have to play in the qualifiers.

Brage had to beat Norrby to have a chance of staying in the Superettan. But after a 1-1 draw, the Borlänge team's nine-year stay in the country's second-highest league is over, and next season they will play in Division 1 North.

Örebro's fate remains to be seen. The team from Närke will have to play in the qualifiers to secure their place, just as they did last year. Norrby will also play in the relegation qualifiers.

It was already clear that historic GIF Sundsvall would be relegated from the Superettan.

At the other end of the table, IFK Norrköping and Falkenberg had already secured promotion. Third-placed Varberg and fourth-placed Östersund will face each other, with the winner taking on the 14th-placed Allsvenskan team in the qualifiers.
