The boy, who is under 18, was arrested and detained on Monday on probable cause on suspicion of murder. At noon on Thursday, he was remanded in custody by Uppsala District Court.
The police were alerted to the shooting in the Kvarngärdet district shortly after 9 p.m. Sunday evening. A 19-year-old man was found dead at the scene.
On Wednesday, it was announced that another person had been arrested for involvement in the shooting and is now suspected of aiding and abetting murder. According to Upsala Nya tidning, a third person has been charged with involvement in the murder, but it is not yet known what the charges are.
