The boy was attacked outside an apartment building on Monday morning by a number of people who were said to have been masked. A witness called the police shortly after 8 a.m. and the boy is said to have run from the scene.
We find him a short distance away near a grocery store, where he receives help from us and the ambulance, says police spokesman Daniel Wikdahl.
The teenager was taken to hospital by ambulance and was conscious.
The police have searched for the perpetrators with dogs and have cordoned off the area. No one has been arrested yet.
The incident is being investigated as attempted murder.
